So I went to the post office today to pick up my package (they attempted delivery to the wrong apartment as the writing on the package was not 100% clear) and was surprised by the large amount of customs fees I had to pay. Apparently not only did my gifter not mark the package as a gift but the only value on the package was the amount it was insured for, which meant a hefty customs charge (as a reminder to anyone reading this: PLEASE mark gifts as gifts when sending them through the mail! While it may not eliminate all charges, it does reduce them and certainly eliminates said charges if the gift is small).
That said, the scarves look great for spring/summer/fall, which is precisely what I wanted them for! And I'm rather thankful for this fact.
