I just gifted someone the first volume of Witch Hat Atelier in an exchange last month. Opening the package to find it myself was hilarious. A good choice as well, I quite enjoy the manga, but hadn't bought it myself yet. (Though I was sorely tempted when I gifted it.)
The other manga, Black Torch, I have never heard of, so I'm looking forward to reading it : )
