Birthday Books

My Gifter gave me some good pre-birthday presents. All presents are books I have had on my Amazon wishlist for a while. The first book is The Book Thief. I discovered the book in high school. I never finished it then. However, I have a better chance to do so now. The second book is The Wolf of Wall Street. I liked the movie when it came out. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio did great work in their respective roles. I can’t wait to read the book to receive further information regarding Jordan Belfort. The third book is The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fck. The fourth book is Everything is Fcked. The books came together in a special set. I am currently learning about stoicism and trying to implement it in my life. Although I don’t think the books relate to the specific philosophy, I bet they still provide useful information regarding not letting things get to you. The last book is The Big Short. I liked the movie when it came out. The main cast led by Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling, Christopher Nolan, and Brad Pitt did excellent performances. I always felt that this was more critical of Wall Street compared to The Wolf of Wall Street. I am looking forward to reading the book to receive further information regarding the buildup and fallout of the 2008 Housing Market Crisis. They also sent me a nice letter and card that I will keep for myself as a bookmark for these books and future reads.
