Secret Santa went above and beyond!

When I filled out the questionnaire, I assumed one or two of the sections would serve as inspiration. It turns out that my Secret Santa has likely matched some aspect of every section of the entire thing.

My main interest is collecting all of the filling systems available, and now I have another lever filler and a now also a button filler to add to my collection. I also have a lovely Jinhao 149 now with an intriguing architect nib. I'm struggling to get the nib to work consistently but I will be glad to play around with it until it works. There's also a Moonman nib that's currently being used by my wife in the pen I received in the elite tier last year.

I received so many inks! A lot of unsaturated inks which I'm getting interested into a lot. I don't want to risk damaging my vintage pens so I'm having to pace myself with the majority as I usually only have one modern pen in rotation. I've inked my VP with Dominant Industry Downpour, and I love the almost purple grey it gives, plus the bottle is gorgeous! My favourite bottle I own now. I'll have to crack out my Parker 51 or Victory to try out some of the others as those pens can handle anything! Also I can confirm that I do like green, especially the olive and teal leaning ones that you were included.

I mentioned pen repair tools and now I have a knock-out hammer and a polishing cloth! My pen repair kit is slowly growing and this certainly contributes greatly!

Then there was a few little extras in the form of pen stands and chocolate! My wife and I got a good laugh at the note at the top of the package and then finding out what the skeletons bit was on about! The crabs and skeleton are now holding some pens that I like but are out of rotation as I try these new pens, they will serve me well. The chocolate is lovely and the little bit of caffeine in it will be incredibly helpful with my day to day as I'm up for work at stupid hours!

The entire thing was wrapped up with a lovely multi-page note outlining, in incredible detail, each and every item in the parcel. I particularly enjoy the notes on each ink and I'm going to take it as inspiration in making a little ink swatch book in the new year with details on how each of my inks write.
