From my gifter, I received a kit for building a DIY project using a soil moisture sensor. Thank you, Melissa! 🙂

The funny story is that I wanted to build something similar years ago - I had plans to water the garden automatically. I tried to put some soil moisture sensors outside to know precisely if watering is needed or not. I even have some analog soil moisture sensors and an older version of ESP devkits 😅 So maybe it is time to do something similar with newer equipment finally 😅

From projects I did - years ago, I built my own temperature and humidity sensor powered by a small power bank. The device sent data via WiFi to save energy, went to "deep sleep," and woke up again. It sent data via MQTT to an external service, and I even did a mobile app with a weather forecast 😅
