Mr. Chomps and the Beetle

I got an Oddity Box from Offbeat Antiques and Oddities! Inside were a wasp and beetle encased in THICK Lucite, a very lovely cut and polished fossil, a shiny little sodalite, a watercolor painted squid sticker and an entire mink skull. The fossil and the skull were the standouts. Orthoceras look kind of like sculptures to start with, but the design on this one was so clear it was hard to believe it's all natural! And the skull... well, smaller skulls tend to end up chipped or missing teeth. This one was 100% intact down to the fine boning inside the nasal passages. I think I will call it Mr. Chomps. Overall a cute little box sure to add a lively touch to my décor.
